One of our first performances as an alumni ensemble, we performed for the annual Founder's Day
Dinner organised by the ACS OBA. The warm reception showed to the ensemble was even more
evident when we performed the ACS Anthem!

Inaugural Concert of the then Anglo-Chinese Wind Ensemble. A new chapter was unveiled with
this inaugural concert, where friends and family came together for a few months of practices.

Pulitzer Prize Winner John Harbison's 'Sonata for Alto Saxophone & Piano'.

It was the 1st Annual General Meeting under the restructured Anglo-Chinese Wind Orchestra. The
Committee informed members of the events in the coming year.
27th Jul 97
The alumni group performed as the Anglo-Chinese Wind Orchestra aat the ACJC Band Annual
Concert. That night, although we only performed 2 pieces, but the Wind Orchestra saw many
fresh blood amongst us..

Our very 1st Annual Dinner was at ACJC Sports Complex Multi-Purpose Hall. A resounding
success judging by the outstanding response from the guests that night. Kudos to the
organising committee.

With the success of the ACWO in the year 1997, a 2nd Annual General Meeting was held to get
things moving for the new year - 1998

This years annual concert was held at ACS(I) Auditorium under the baton of Lee Tian Tee.
In all, ACWO performed 8 pieces for a small audience. The VIP list included Dr Lee Li Eng,
Mr Victor Chia, Mr Ong Ai Teik, Mr and Mrs Wan Fook Weng and many more.

members from the ACJC Concert, ACS(Barker) Band and the ACS(I) Band
